World Animals and Us!
Today on the national news network it was reported that more than a third of all the animal species are at risk of vanishing. The report further noted that this is mostly due to the loss of habitat. Loss due to man, not nature.
On a small incremental level Landicity is exactly that -- simply trying to save some habitat and make you a steward-owner of the land so you become directly connected to the land. Your land and the animals land.
Saving habitat will not really have a significant or direct impact on saving the planet. It may help a little, but it won't matter. What really matters is getting individuals engaged and educated about the habitat, the animals, the natural being of things, and about the planet. What really makes the most difference is engagement and education of people; give them an ownership stakeholder position. We can conserve 100% of the land, but without the people being engaged it will be for not.
Good night from Maine, USA!
